Florence is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Certified Member of the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia. She is also a Fellow member of CPA Australia. She articled with Ernst & Whinney (now known as Ernst & Young), Kuala Lumpur and qualified as a Certified Public Accountant in 1982. During her employment with Ernst & Whinney, she was in charge of audits of both private and public listed companies during which she was exposed to the operations of a variety of industries in the market. She subsequently worked as Systems Executive in the Internal Audit Department of The East Asiatic Company (M) Bhd in 1983 with job scope and responsibilities which covered review and evaluation of the company’s operation and accounting systems, recommending proper controls and improvements to existing systems to increase efficiency and productivity of the company, drafting and production of Operation and Administration Manuals. Florence joined the Firm in 1984 as General Manager. In this capacity, she has been holding a major role in our Firm’s financial planning, forecast and budgetary controls as well as all aspects of the management of the Firm. Her current job scope and responsibilities include overseeing Finance, IT, Administration & Human Resource Departments as well as a portfolio of company secretarial clients.
